temples and pedicures

so since i didn't know i'd be having a vacation until i got here it didn't leave me with much time to plan... i therefore have tried my best to incorporate as much touristy things as i can...

monday i finally moved into my permanent place.. we all live in the same 2 buildings.. i feel like i'm in essex hall again (and that's a good thing!)

yesterday we went to Pal Gong temple.. well, part of it.. there was monsoon like weather and the street turned into a river.. so i missed out on seeing the giant buddha.. total bummer.. but we're going back when the weather is more agreeable.. i did get to check out a traditional tea house (which i have pics of and will attach when i finally get the net at my place).. it was gorgeous.. there are no words..

today, i went grocery shopping, all by myself.. (it's not as fun shopping without you meg, the novelty of a foreign country doesn't make up for it).. i also got a pedicure.. from a dude.. which was strange.. i never let anyone touch my feet so it was weird having a 20 something korean guy rubbing my feet..

well, other than that, i have plans to go to 4 soccer games this weekend... n.korea, s. korea, china and japan i think.. i've never been to a soccer game live before (well - professional)

anyways, just wanted to give a little update.. i miss everyone so much!
if anyone can spare the money... come visit me!!!

pics...
the first one is of a candle thingy in the tea house.. i took pics of it because it reminds me of that candle that charlie has that mom hates! see.. then had them in greece, and they have them in s. k. too!
the other ones are of the traditional tea house i went to

Good to hear you're having a good time. But really, spare change to travel? Just remember the challange and we'll see about getting visitors from Canada up there. Points for creativity.
